Te Roopū Whai Pūtake is the Māori Law Student association for Otago Law school which was established in 1993. We are an executive of 8 students who represent any law student who identifies as a tauira Māori (Māori Student).
Throughout the year we run various academic and social events for our students. This includes tutorials, a series of academic lectures and social events during Te Wiki o Te Ture (Māori Legal Issues Week), and other social events such as first year breakfast and dessert nights for our members. We also provide support and advocacy to Māori students in need.
If you’re a Māori law student, nau mai, haere mai! We’d love to hear from you!
